-The Shires Hollow Mouth Eggbutt Snaffle is a single jointed snaffle designed with a fairly thick, hollow mouthpiece which is considerably lighter than a solid mouthpiece. Eggbutt cheeks are fixed, giving the bit more stability in the mouth and helping to aid steering - this may be more readily accepted by horses needing the security of a more stable bit.
